Urban War future

Since our first take on VOID, we were often asked about the possibility of Seb Games making a similar arrangement for UW. Today, with great pleasure, we can now announce that Metal Warrior Miniatures Ltd (aka Seb Games) has acquired a license from Scotia Grendel for the distribution and future development of the Urban War wargame brand!

It is an excellent opportunity for the Urban War and VOID brands, as it will allow us to develop two great games that complement each other, giving a great immersion to players. Both Scotia Grendel and Seb Games look forward to the new VOID and Urban War brands’ future and the opportunities arising from this cooperation.

Back to the roots

As we are sure, the first question we will be asked is which edition will be Seb Games supporting. And if there are any plans for a new edition of the game.

Yes, we are currently working on the new edition of the game. In the meantime, we decided to return to the roots of Urban War and its unique system of the 1st edition and use it as a starting point.

We plan to release the 3rd edition of Urban War tabletop game in the Summer of 2024.

Miniatures availability

As of the moment, all miniatures will be available from Scotia Grendel and Seb Games webshops to allow customers easy access to all models. With our experience of transferring the VOID ranges, we would like to avoid some mistakes we have made in the past. This solution will be the best way to proceed. We don’t plan to discontinue any of the miniatures in the near future.

Also, Seb Games’ sales format of miniatures will focus on supporting the game in the first place, which will be reflected in the different boxed sets made available from our webshop. More details about it will be announced at a later date.

We hope that this is great news for all Urban War fans! Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Getting Started with Urban War

Urban War is a fast paced sci-fi skirmish game set in a brutal far-distant universe. Players build small teams of soldiers to fight in the war-torn city planet of Iskandria, the scene of countless vicious conflicts between competing factions, now also threatened by aggressive alien incursions.

Urban War is a tabletop game for two or more players. The individual model and experience based system enables a unique variety of tactical choices, as you develop your teams to suit your own personal play-style and strategies.

170 Series Starter Teams

This set provides you with a streamlined 170-point starter force that will give you a feel for this faction’s play style. As you become more familiar with the game and develop your own strategies, you can add to this force with booster sets and blisters. Whether you’re a newcomer to the hobby or a ‘veteran’ wanting to try out a new game or faction, this is an ideal starting point.

Assault Boosters

Booster sets add to your basic 170 Series Starter Team set. They provides you with a range of troops that will enhance your strike-teams close assault capabilities. Having a more varied reserve of troops to select from will widen your tactical options and keep your opponents guessing. Alternatively you can just add these troops to your existing team and start building a 300+ point force for fighting larger battles.

  1. Where are these available in Australia.

    • Wayne, I have never seen these in Australian stores. I ordered my Junker and Galdiators direct from Scotia Grendel. I placed two orders over two hundred pounds and in each case they arrived very quickly (faster than ordering through Australia Post).

The Junker and Gladiator miniatures are excellent quality. Scale wise they would match old GW marines, guard etc. I use mine as a Rogue Traders retinue. Titus Groan has an entourage of around 120, a hundred of which are from Scotia Grendel.

  2. Need bigger pictures of the miniatures.
