VOID’s Future

VOID’s Future

Dear Customers,

As some of you are aware, a major reorganisation is currently happening at Scotia Grendel, the owner of VOID, Urban War and Age of Tyrants lines and IP. Scotia Grendel is selling off some of its ranges for those not up to date with the latest developments. Sadly, this package includes VOID, Urban War and Age of Tyrants. They are not ceasing to trade but are rationalising ranges to make space for future projects.

So what does that means for VOID’s future? Unfortunately, we will need to stop any further development of VOID at the moment. We will keep it this way until the situation is clarified. After a long discussion with our friends at Scotia, we have decided that the range will still be available via www.seb-games.com webshop for the time being. We will not take down any of the products and add some of the resin products as cast on demand.

Those interested in more details regarding Scotia’s plans and portfolio can reach them at order@scotiagrendel.com. I am sure Robbie will happily answer any queries and be able to present more details about it.

We fully understand the sadness this announcement will cause. As you can imagine, this is a big blow for us as well. VOID was a true life passion project, and it was not an easy decision to make. I would like to thank all the VOID enthusiasts. The last couple of years were possible only possible because of your dedication and support! It was truly an honour.

On a personal note, I know that some of you will feel let down. I hope that our future projects will compensate you for this loss. I would like to assure you all that despite this setback, Seb Games (Metal Warrior Miniatures Ltd) is not going anywhere. We are staying here and will still do our best to give you new and great games!

Sincerely,
Sebastian Czarnecki

  1. Start a go fund me to raise money to buy the rights from Scotia.

  2. 🙁 I’m sorry to hear this and saddened. I wish I was in a better financial position and could have supported void better though I’m not sure if that would help helped.

    • No worries, it’s not your fault :). Time will show what future awaits VOID. In the meantime, I would like to focus on some other projects I have on the workbench. I hope to share more details soon 🙂

  3. Hi there,

Truly sorry to hear about this. I wasn’t alive when Void was first incarnated, but it was cool to see the models and game continue to live on.

I’m sort of curious, will the current range eventually be discontinued, or slimmed down (or is it simply too early to make such a decision)? There’s something about the aesthetic of these older metal minis that I love, but especially right now, shipping prices are a killer to the US. I do plan to buy at some point in the future though, as I can’t imagine living with the regret of not owning some of these!

    • Hi Ian,
I got some good news! There has been a bit of development since November, and we managed to renew the license 🙂

More details will follow this week.

      Cheers,
      Seb
